Consistency of Change
Change is the only consistency in the most of the matters, but also on the internet. The age of podcasting is coming along rapidly and very soon all kind of media or content will be available on line – your favorite quotes, music, poetry, or anything else that you could possibly imagine will very soon become downloadable. I am realizing that this is already happening; people are running around carrying in their mp3 players not only their favorite music, but all kinds of stuff – their examination papers, college audio files, and so on. As I am also a bookish person and for sure I could use a lot of books but I do not see all this as a threat to the classical book consuming and reading. On contrary, on many occasions I had a chance to see that an on- line busyness could actually boost the production and popularity of the words written on paper. More than once I have seen how people being referred to an e-book decide to visit a real book store and buy a book in its classical form. This coexistence of internet and book publishing is going on astonishing ways. One more thing about internet that I like and want to emphasize is – in my modest opinion, its ultimate supremacy over television. You are able to choose which and what kind of content you are going to devour. Unlike television, where everything is being served in front of your eyes without much influence from you – when using internet you are actually the almighty master who is able to serve himself. How many advantages are there in educational, working, productivity, spiritual or time-efficiency related matters? Wow, I think it's needless to say. |
